My roots are in the foothills of the Carpathians, in Novaci, Gorj county, the place where the spectacular Transalpina starts. That's also where my road to European Romania began.
In high school I became fascinated by the European project and the fact that after the Second World War, European countries decided to replace war, weapons and conflict with peace, cooperation and dialogue.
More than 20 years dedicated to this project of a European Romania followed, which included studies in European affairs and political science in Bucharest and Paris, years of experience in three European institutions and the Romanian government, and involvement in civil society.
